Los Angeles—Mr. Li Yugang, top performing artist of China National Opera & Dance Drama Theatre, arrived in Los Angeles after concluding a successful performance in New York, and met his local fans face to face in a reception in his honor on April 20.
Mr. Li is scheduled to perform at Pasadena Civic Auditorium respectively on April 21 and April 23.
Mr. Li introduced his performing career, and expressed his gratitude to American audience for their support. “I have been invited to perform in Los Angeles numerous times over the last ten years, but failed to make it happen due to various reasons,” said Mr. Li. “I am honored to be finally here and meet so many friends thanks to the hard work of Blue Star Entertainment International and Guanlan Media International.”
Mr. Gu Jin, Cultural Consul of Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, compared the upcoming performance of Mr. Li to that of Mr. Mei Lanfang, renowned Peking Opera master, whose visit in 1930 greatly impressed the American audience and provided them with a chance to learn about Chinese culture. And he anticipated that Mr. Li’s performance will further the cultural exchange between the U.S. and China.
Blue Star Entertainment International is the organizer and producer of the long-expected performance at Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Mr. Dong Xu, President of Blue Star, introduced the preparatory work, and appreciated all the support he received in the whole process.
Local elected officials spoke highly of Mr. Li’s achievement and his unswerving pursuit of performing arts.
