RCAO Hosted E-Commerce Forum in College Classroom

Los Angeles — Roundtable of Chinese American Organizations (RCAO) recently hosted a virtual E-Commerce Forum in the classroom at the College of Business Administration, Cal Poly Pomona.  The forum drew a large audience of about 200 people with different ethnic backgrounds, including college students, entrepreneurs and professionals.  Professors and Experts Federation USA and Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce USA co-hosted the forum.

On behalf of RCAO Chairman Andy Zhang, RCAO CEO Lianlian Lin warmly welcome and sincerely thank all participants for joining the forum and for their strong support. RCAO has over 190 organizational members and has hosted a variety of forums for public such as the Diversity and Inclusion Forum, the Cross Culture Forum, and the Learning & Thinking Forum.  Chairman Zhang states that our members share their companies’ cases and entrepreneurship experiences and interact with diverse ethnic groups, which provides a great opportunity for us to learn from and interact with each other.

Dr. Lianlian Lin, President of Professors and Experts Federation USA, is Chief Planner and Moderator for the forum.  Dr. Lin is Professor of Management at the College of Business Administration, Cal Poly Pomona.  Her college has near five thousand students, and both undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by the AACSB International.  Another Chief Planner is Mr. Alan Qi, President of Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce USA, who is a successful businessman. His company Best Q&C Inc. has been established for 45 years and its brand FH ginseng is well known.  He also has Falkner Winery in Temecula.  Two directors of the Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce USA are keynote speakers at the forum.

The first keynote speaker is Mr. Benjamin Liu, Director of Business Development at Alibaba Group Tmall Global – The Americas.  He has engaged in cross-order e-commerce and China-U.S. cross-border project operations for over a decade.  Mr. Liu joined top multinational corporations such as Alibaba Group and JD.com for many years.  He also involved in multiple projects in health and consumer sectors in China and the U.S. as an investor.  His presentation topic is US-China Cross Borders E-Commerce: Trends and Strategies.  He shared his views about the historical evolution and the future trends of e-commerce.  He also discussed Alibaba’s eco-system, global strategies, and its contributions to American economy.  

Another keynote speaker is Mr. Aaron Zhang, founder and CEO of Memo e-commerce Thailand and USA.  Memo USA operates the Jeans live stream and is the top three womenswear live stream in TikTok in the U.S.  His company Memo Thailand is the top three TikTok Shop Partner in Thailand and has served well-known brands such as JD Thailand, Xiaomi, Anta, JBL, and Lee etc.  Mr. Zhang spoke about My E-Commerce on TikTok in the U.S.  He introduced three ways of his company’s business operation on TikTok in America: Memo live stream, Memo affiliate marketing, and Memo product cards. 

Another keynote speaker is Mr. Ye Feng, founder and CEO of Thunder International Group Inc.  Established in 2010, his company has emerged as a prominent international cross-border logistics enterprise.  With the United States as its operational hub, his company has expanded its global footprint. His topic is Challenges and Opportunities in Cross-Border E-Commerce Logistics.  He discussed the competitive situation in the e-commerce logistics industry and proposed his firm’s solution to the challenges. Mr. Feng is an alumnus of Cal Poly Pomona with his master’s degree in electrical engineering.  His successful entrepreneurship story makes him a role-model for students.
