“I stand on the shoulders of visionary women who have achieved phenomenal success in creating infinite change,” said Supervisor Solis. “That is why hosting an annual event to recognize women who have helped strengthen our communities is so important to me. I look forward to my continued partnership with women across the First District so that we can create a society where every young girl and woman activates her infinite potential for change.”

“It was such an honor to celebrate International Women’s Day amongst such brilliant, resilient, and inspiring women in east Los Angeles,” said First Partner Siebel Newsom. “Their accomplishments and Supervisor Solis’ leadership are a reminder of why I started California for ALL Women when I became First Partner in 2019– to ensure the California dream is alive and well for all women and their families in California. Today, we saw a preview of that future by women coming together to defy odds and overcome structural barriers to their success and partner in building a more equitable future for all.”
