IRVINE, CA – Councilmember Tammy Kim announced the dates for the 2nd Annual Irvine Tech Week! In collaboration with the City of Irvine, Irvine Tech Week will run from April 16 – 21, 2024, launching with the Irvine Tech Week Kickoff Event/Resource Fair on April 16, 2024!
Irvine Tech Week is a series of events featuring Angel Investor Panels, face-to-face meetings with Investors, Techstars Startup Weekend, and a Wrap-up Celebration at the Great Park Gallery. Attendees have the opportunity to network with investors and co-founders, creating a collaborative space for sharing and learning within the tech community.
In March 2023, Councilmember Kim launched the first-ever Irvine Tech Week! The event was a great success, thanks to partnerships with various organizations such as Peoplespace, the Irvine Company, FivePoint, Sunstone Management, Irvine Chamber of Commerce, UCI ANTrepreneur Center, OctaneOC, OC Startup Council, SoCal StartUp, Okapi Ventures, WeMade, University Lab, and more. The event continues to grow, and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger than before.
“The City of Irvine has been known as the ‘City of Innovation,’ and as we set our sights on the future, we must strengthen our economy and future-proof our community for the next generation,” emphasizes Councilmember Tammy Kim. “I initiated Irvine Tech Week to drive investment in programs that nurture and incubate early-stage ideas, facilitating their growth and accelerating them right here in Irvine. I hope to attract more Asian technology companies to Irvine.”
Irvine Tech Week provides early-stage entrepreneurs with a comprehensive guide to resources available and allows them to connect with successful founders, participate in a Startup Weekend, or engage with local venture capitalists and angel investors.
