Anaheim High School Announces Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for State-of-the-Art Track and Field Facilities

Anaheim, CA – Anaheim High School, an institution dedicated to preparing students to shape the future in an ever-changing world, is thrilled to announce the ribbon cutting ceremony for its new, state-of-the-art track and field facility. The ceremony is scheduled for December 21, 2023, at 4:00 PM on the grounds of Anaheim High School, located at 811 West Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92805.

This nearly one-year project promises to equip current and prospective student-athletes with premium features. It includes a professional-grade all-weather track, a synthetic turf field, and dedicated areas for track and field events as well as soccer games. In addition, the renovation will provide practice space for our football program, marching band, amongst other programs. The facility will also feature seating to accommodate about 1,000 fans and is designed to host CIF competitions, furthering the school’s commitment to athletic excellence.

“We are extremely fortunate and grateful that our school district has provided this renovated space for our students. With the relentless dedication of our coaches, our athletic programs are able to practice and compete in a space conducive to their athletic excellence,” said Ruben Calleros, Principal of Anaheim High School. “This space is not only important for our school, but for many in our community. In the afternoon, the track and field transforms into a green space for many of our local residents.”

The groundbreaking event will feature addresses from essential contributors to the project as well as performances by our award winning Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, choral ensemble, band, cheer squad, and dance production team.

This endeavor is supported through the generosity of our Anaheim Union High School District’s Board of Trustees. Anaheim High School extends its deepest thanks to everyone who played a critical role in turning this vision into a reality.
