Stocks fall on Friday as Wall Street closes with more loses
Stocks continued their decline on Friday as Wall Street closed off a tough week for the market that saw its worst weekly performance since March.
The S&P 500 slid 0.23% to close at 4,320.06.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.31% to 33,963.84, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.09% to end at 13,211.81.
Friday’s drop saw the fourth straight day of losses for all three major indexes and comes as investors grapple with the news that interest rates will remain higher for longer.
