Wall Street stocks mixed as Tech stocks slump
Los Angeles — Stocks finished on Wall Street trending mostly lower on Thursday as all three major U.S. indexes head toward a path of weekly losses.
The S&P 500 fell about 0.3% to about 4,451.14 for its third straight loss. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was the sole index trending positive Thursday, with a 0.2% rise to 34,500.73 due to its less tech heavy composition.
Consequently, Nasdaq composite was hit hardest, suffering a nearly 1% drop to 13,748.83 as tech stocks slumped.
Apple shares tumbled nearly 3% amidst reports that China seeks to ban the iPhone from government official use.
Nvidia sank 1.74% while Qualcomm dropped 7.22%.
