Major US Investment Funds CalPERS, UC, and Google to Deliver Keynote Speeches at California Investment Forum on May 9-10
Anaheim, California — The 2024 California Investment Forum, themed “Artificial Intelligence Changing the World,” is set to take place in Anaheim, California, where I’ll be speaking as a presenter in the field of artificial intelligence.
California Treasurer Ma will deliver the keynote address.
The 2024 California Investment Forum, centered around the theme “Artificial Intelligence Changing Our World,” will convene next week in Anaheim, California. The forum aims to foster global institutional engagement in investment activities within California, the world’s fifth-largest economy.
The welcome cocktail will commence at 6 p.m. on the 8th, followed by the opening ceremony at 9 a.m. on the 9th. California Treasurer Ma and International Investment Advisor Dr. Dolf de Roos will serve as the keynote speaker in the morning following remarks from forum chairman Daniel Sieu.
The primary objective of the forum is to connect California-based projects and companies with institutions interested in investing across various industries including biotech, renewable energy, real estate development, and artificial intelligence, to catalyze investment activity and alleviate regulatory hurdles.
Keynote speakers at the forum include Marcie Frost, CEO of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), Stephen Sturman, CEO of the Private Equity Investment Division at the University of California, Raymond Dumrao, Head of AI at Google Cloud, California Treasurer Ma, former Speaker of the California State Assembly and Senate Majority Leader Robert M. Hertzberg, California State Controller Maria Cohen, Annab Parle, Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy, and Terrelyn Bradley, Director of Business and Economic Development for Governor Gavin Newsom.
The forum will kick off with the welcome dinner and opening ceremony, followed by keynote speeches and expert discussions. Additionally, professors and experts from institutions like Caltech, UCLA, USC, UCI, as well as investors from multibillion-dollar tech investment funds from Saudi Arabia, the UK, and elsewhere, will participate. Experts in the field of artificial intelligence will also take the stage as speakers. Steve Littell, CEO of Girolimitz Ventures, Elnaz Saraf Roybee, Founder of Robot, and Emilio Ferrara, Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California, will deliver speeches on the topic of artificial intelligence shaping the future of humanity.
Early-stage investor Ahmed Mirza from Techstars and Sajid Mohamedy, Executive Vice President and Head of Growth and Delivery Business at Nisum, will also participate in panel discussions at the forum.
The Innovation Awards Dinner on the 10th will highlight the award-winning enterprises of the 2024 California Investment Forum. These enterprises will receive prestigious accolades presented by California Treasurer Ma herself!
Nearly 30 companies at the forefront of innovation in AI, renewable energy, and breakthrough medical technology have applied for these awards.
