Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley Announces County One-Stop Grand Opening in Laguna Niguel

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – Today, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley held the grand opening of the County One-Stop in Laguna Niguel in partnership with OC Workforce Solutions, OC Community Services, Ready Set OC, America’s Job Center of California, and the Veterans Employment Program. The one stop’s doors officially open to the public on July 5, 2023.

“Today marks a new day in Orange County for improving access to county services and workforce development with the opening of the new South County One-Stop,” said Supervisor Foley. “Through this year’s $9.3B budget approved on Tuesday, Orange County demonstrates a commitment to long term fiscal strength, the provision of high-quality services, and the advancement of major initiatives that will benefit residents and future generations. The One-Stop will help us retrain and train the new workforce needed to support local businesses, including helping place Veterans transitioning from the military to civilian life.”

“Although Orange County has the lowest unemployment rate among all surrounding Southern California Counties, a majority of individuals who became homeless in California are because of lost wages, and the inflated cost of living. We want as many people as possible to get the support they need to secure jobs and get stabilized. Having this One-Stop in South County will help us achieve that goal and make Orange County a better place to live, work and play,” added Supervisor Foley.

Staff who specialize in serving adults, dislocated workers, youth, veterans, older adults, and other vulnerable populations will provide the following services:

  • Unemployment services
  • Career planning
  • Job coaching
  • Resume development
  • Interviewing techniques
  • Skill assessments
  • Up-skilling
  • Training including apprentice training in construction
  • Supportive services

The federal government designated this one-stop as a location where the County can connect the public to these resources.

Residents can visit the One-Stop at 28202 Cabot Road Suite 140 Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 beginning on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
