HomeAid Thanksgiving Meal Drive is November 5

Support the community by donating non-perishable food for Thanksgiving.

IRVINE-The City of Irvine is proud to support HomeAid Orange County in their Thanksgiving Meal Drive, and invites the community to take part in a drive-thru food drive.

Help families experiencing or at risk of homelessness by donating non-perishable food at a drive-thru food drive event at Lakeview Senior Center Friday, November 5, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Place your donation of non-perishable boxed or canned food items in your trunk, and volunteers will remove the items while you wait in your vehicle. HomeAid is seeking items to help families celebrate Thanksgiving, such as stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, dry mashed potatoes, vegetables, and non-perishable desserts.

All donations go toward HomeAid’s goal of providing 500 Thanksgiving meal boxes for Orange County families in need. Members of the community are also welcome to volunteer to support the drive-thru event. For more information on donating or volunteering, visit HomeAid Orange County’s event website at homeaidoc.org/events/food. For questions about the drive-thru event, call 949-724-6606. For questions about volunteering, email volunteer@homeaidoc.org. Lakeview Senior Center is located at 20 Lake Rd. in Irvine.
