During the pandemic, the City of Irvine took the opportunity to enhance the Irvine Civic Center. Improvements include:

  • Electric vehicle charging stations in the Irvine Civic Center parking lot.
  • A COVID-19 testing site at the Civic Center Piazza through a partnership with 360 Clinic.
  • New paint, carpet, and energy-efficient lighting in City Hall.
  • A public art installation with pieces from the Suburban Ecologies art exhibition that were previously seen at the Great Park Gallery.

The City of Irvine is committed to maintaining the health and safety of all Irvine residents and will be closely following the evolving situation regarding Cal/OSHA’s COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standards  related to masking. Face coverings will be worn by employees at all City facilities and when interacting with the public. Plexiglass dividers have also been installed in public-facing spaces, and physical distancing will be practiced among employees and members of the public.

Patrons visiting City facilities or City Hall are also required to wear masks indoors, as well as outdoors if less than 6 feet away from others.
