Message from Senator Ling Ling Chang

Los Angeles — We owe so much to our brave firefighters who have worked many long hours away from their families to keep us safe. It was an honor to join Cal Fire‚ U.S. Fire Service‚ California Highway Patrol‚ San Bernardino County Fire‚ San Bernardino County Sheriff’s‚ and other agency partners to visit the wildfire-damaged communities‚ learn how we can better help‚ and personally thank the 1‚200 firefighters on the frontlines.

Due to the overwhelming support of the 29th Senate District‚ I was able to deliver supplies‚ providing disinfectant wipes‚ N99 masks‚ cloth masks‚ and many well-wishes. Thank you for your generous support of our first responders.

Whether it is a house or a vegetation fire‚ firefighters are the first to rush in to help save lives.

We – Cal Fire‚ Cal-OES‚ and American Red Cross and I – are doing our best to serve you and hope you will join our Emergency Preparedness Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday‚ September 30 at 1PM. We’ll be discussing what steps to take for emergencies in your home‚ business‚ or school‚ and also answering your questions.

Please RSVP here to receive the call-in number and passcode‚ which will be emailed to you on the morning of September 30. Due to the volume of callers we are expecting‚ live questions will not be possible. Kindly submit any questions you may have to Senator.Chang@senate.ca.gov.
