Businessman-turned Artist Gears Up for More Success at Age 52

Los Angeles—“After I have done what I have to, I start to focus what I love to,” said Zhang Xiaojun at a media event today in West Covina hosted by Asia Union Election Committee Education Fund and Merion Inc..

Zhang is a well-known actor in China, and also serves as president for global development of Daohe Systems and CEO of Daohe Films, who came to Los Angeles to receive the Best Supporting Actor award presented by China US Television Festival for his performance in a TV drama titled Sweet Guy.

Born in a musical family, Zhang has a solid grasp of the Chinese traditional music.  He turned to the marketing business after being a singer and a dancer, and returned to the entertainment industry as a successful entrepreneur.

“In a changing society, you will fall behind unless you are creative and keep learning and changing,” said Zhang while sharing his inspiring story with the audience.

Recently Zhang launched a nutritional breakfast brand called Viiva in the United States along with his business partners.

In 2014, Zhang was honored with the Best Supporting Actor award at China Image Film Festival in Europe, and Best Young Actor at a film festival in Australia for his role in the Break-up Season.

“As a businessman, Zhang Xiaojun is successful.  And as an artist, he is a rising star,” said Dinghua Wang, president of Asia Union Election Committee Education Fund.  “We look forward to more partnership with him.”

In 2015, Zhang played a part in Shanghai Story, Sweet Guy and other TV drama.  And in 2016, he tried a challenging comedian role in Once Upon a Time in Shanghai.

“As long as you have a dream and stick to it, it will come true,” Zhang added.
