Arcadia, CA—Sichuan Kungfu Fish, a chain restaurant brand in China, officially launches its first U.S. location at Westfield Santa Anita in Arcadia after over three years of planning.  Food lovers in San Gabriel Valley now have one more choice for spicy and numb Sichuan-style dishes.

Sichuan Kungfu Fish, founded in 2013, is dedicated to the renovation of food ingredients and culinary culture.  And its international vision allows its successful expansion around the world.  The unique choice of cod, common sole and other deep ocean fish makes the dishes suitable for customers of all ages.  The restaurant has become the most popular chain brand in China featuring roasted fish, and its annual sales reach more than 350 million yuan (RMB).

“Sichuan Kungfu Fish will further expand in North American, and plans to open 30 to 50 more locations,” said Mr. Qi Chunhua, CEO of Sichuan Kungfu Fish.

The successful opening of Arcadia location is supported by U.S. Sichuan-Chongqing Chamber of Commerce.  Ms. Phoebe Chen, the president of the chamber commends the restaurant for its efforts in promoting healthy diet.  “The chamber will bring more Sichuan cuisine to American customers,” said Chen.

Among the attendees of the grand opening ceremony are Mike Eng, former assemblyman of California, Mary Su, Mayor of Walnut, Stephen Lam, Mayor Pro Tem of Monterey Park, and other elected officials and business leaders.
