L.A. Woman Sentenced to Prison for Spray-painting Anti-Trump Graffiti on Government Building

Los Angeles–A woman admitted today that she caused thousands of dollars in damages to government buildings in downtown Los Angeles by spray-painting messages against Donald Trump, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Victoria Jayne Bay, 37, of Los Angeles pleaded guilty to one felony count of vandalism over $400 damage, graffiti.

Deputy District Attorney Brenda Chan said Bay was immediately sentenced to 180 days in jail, three years of formal probation and was ordered to pay restitution.

On November 20, Bay tagged the Hall of Justice, Foltz Criminal Justice Center, Hall of Records and L.A. Central Plant buildings with messages insulting Trump, the prosecutor said.

The damage is estimated to be more than $10,000. A restitution hearing is scheduled on Jan. 4 in Department 128 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

Bay was arrested on November 22.
