Phillip Chen Leads in Fundraising and Endorsements for AD55

Republican small business owner, Phillip Chen has to date raised $310,0855 for the 55th Assembly District — three times his three other opponents combined totals. For the all-important cash on hand, Chen reported $228k – nearly six times his opponents combined total. Chen has also received the support of a broad coalition of republican grassroots organizations, public safety groups, and elected officials.

Chen announced receiving the endorsement of the California Republican Assembly in his campaign for the 55th Assembly District on April 25th.

The endorsement convention was jointly hosted by the San Gabriel Valley and Yorba Linda-Placentia RA units and officiated by CRA Executive Vice President Craig Alexander.

The California Republican Assembly is a key endorsement in the election because the endorsement is so highly coveted. Chartered in 1934, the CRA is the state’s oldest and largest Republican volunteer organization.  The CRA was famously recognized by President Ronald Reagan as “the Conscience of the Republican Party.”

“As a lifelong Republican I am extremely proud to have California’s largest Republican volunteer organization behind me in this election,” said Chen. “I am committed to working to help grow our party and bring conservative ideas to a legislature that is out of step with everyday Californians.”

“Phillip is the clear frontrunner in this race and has amassed an impressive war chest and list of endorsements,” said Jim Nygren the general consultant for Chen. “Additionally, the Chen campaign has wisely locked up all the top slate cards and will be using the monies raised for direct voter contact.”
