Airline Attendant Bolts LAX Without Cocaine, Gucci Shoes
Authorities are looking for a flight attendant who was subject to a random search that turned up approximately 60 pounds of cocaine in two carry-on roller bags, authorities told NBC News. Flight attendants and other crew members are not normally subjected to searches. But the suspect was pulled aside by Transportation Security Administration officers for a random screening in Terminal 4, the sources said. The woman, who was not identified, appeared nervous and made a cellphone call in a language not recognized by officers, authorities told NBC News. She was then taken aside to a secondary screening area and asked for her employee identification. Suddenly, she bolted from the screening location, running with her bags toward an escalator, authorities said. She jettisoned the luggage and her designer shoes and fled the terminal. The incident was captured on video, which has not been released, and the drugs were booked into evidence. Minnesota Boy, 11, Leads Police Chase in Stolen Cement Truck
Authorities in Minnesota say an 11-year-old boy is in custody after stealing a cement truck from a contractor and leading officers on a chase. Sheriff’s officials say the chase started about 3 p.m. Sunday in Dodge Center when the boy drove the truck onto Highway 14 toward Byron. A State Patrol helicopter tracked the truck by air. Officers followed on the ground where speeds reached 65 to 70 mph. Two squad cars were damaged during the pursuit. The chase went on for about an hour before the child was arrested at a dead end street. Kasson Police Officer Gary Scofield, whose squad car was rammed by the suspect during the chase, tells The Associated Press the driver was an 11-year-old boy.（ABC）

Staples Center will host the NBA All-Star game in 2018, an announcement to be made publicly Tuesday before the Lakers play the Memphis Grizzlies at Staples. The arena, which opened in 1999, also staged the All-Star game in 2011 and 2004. The league chose, atypically, to stage the two most recent All-Star games in cold-weather cities, last month in Toronto and last year in New York. The game is scheduled to be in Charlotte next year, another potentially chilly environment, though probably not as frigid as fans, players and media experienced in 2015 and 2016. Neither the Lakers nor the Clippers will be the official host of the 2018 game, with the teams likely sharing the responsibilities. Uncle, 27, gets 100 years in prison for giving a gun to his niece which she then used to shoot and kill a 14-year-old girl over a Facebook dispute
The uncle of a Chicago teen accused of providing the gun used in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old girl in a Facebook feud over a boy has been sentenced to 100 years in prison. Donnell Flora, 27 was sentenced Monday after he was found guilty of charges including first-degree murder in the April 28, 2014, slaying of Endia Martin. Prosecutors say Flora – who was left paralyzed from the waist down in a 2010 shooting – supplied the gun and accompanied his niece to the shooting. The niece, who has been charged as a juvenile and has not been identified, went to a house to confront her rival and Martin’s best friend Lanekia Reynolds after she posted death threats on the social media site. Flora saw the messages, and thought the threat was serious enough that he needed to take a gun with him. Flora’s niece is awaiting trial in juvenile court but even if she is convicted she would likely be released from custody when she turns 21.（Daily Mail）
