Stocks continue upward streak amidst renewed investor confidence

Wall Street stocks continued their winning streak on Tuesday, expanding gains for the seventh straight session as investors grow more confident in the Federal Reserve ending its interest rate hike this year.
The S&P 500 was up 0.28% to 4,378.38. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.17% to 34,152.60 while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite added 0.9% to end the day at 13,639.86. Both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite notched their longest winning streak in over two years.
Investors continue to assess whether last week’s momentum can continue after all three major indexes wrapped up their best week in 2023.
Signs of an economic slowdown has signaled to the market that the Federal Reserve could ease up on future rate hikes.
