Stocks Across Globe Rise following Wall Street Rally on Positive Reports
Los Angeles– Global stocks rose Wednesday following a boost from Wall Street as U.S. stocks rose due to positive news on job openings and consumer confidence.
In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei 225 saw its third straight day of gains and rose 0.33% to close at 32,333.46. South Korea’s Kospi rose 0.35% to close at 2,561.22.
Australia’s S&P/asx 200 gained 1.21% to 7,297.7. In Europe, Britain’s FSTE 100 added 0.38% to 7,493.7 while France CAC 40 declined 0.1% to 7,363.09 in early trading.
In the United States, all three major indexes advanced, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining 1.74%. The S&P 500 climbed 1.45%, the best day since June 2nd, while the Dow Jones added 0.85%.
