Stock Market closes with mixed results
Los Angeles — Stocks closed Friday with overall mixes results after slowly recovering from steep losses earlier.
The Dow Jones gained .08% or about 27 points, the S&P 500 lowered by 0.01%. The Nasdaq Composite dropped .02%, continuing a trend of four consecutive daily losses.
This comes amidst continued economic uncertainty as investors anticipate further interest rate hikes in response to lingering inflation.
The ten year U.S. Treasury yield fell down to 4.25%, rising to the highest level seen since October of last year.
Investors remain in limbo ahead of key developments next week including an annual meeting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is set to give a speech on economic outlook.
