HTTV Made the Hit During Malaysia International Media and Marketing Symposium

          Accomplishments to Strengthens Exchanges Between the USA and South-East Asian Countries

Los Angeles — Los Angeles-based China TV Media Group (USA) Inc. dba HTTV has gained international recognition and prestige recently and has opened the door of cooperation and cultural exchanges between the USA and South-East Asian nations.

HTTV has participated in the 2022 Malaysia International Media and Marketing Symposium and its documentary TV Program “Build A Dream, Make it True” has made a big hit during the Symposium.

The documentary Program which was hosted and directed by Jing Yang, has shed light on the dreams, resilience, and contributions of Asian Americans to the diversified cultural growth of American society. It featured the ups and downs, pains and gains, joys and challenges, of Ao Ge, an Asian-American who has lived in the United States pursing his American dream for more than 30 years. He shares his life journey of studying, earning a degree, finding a job to work for City of Los Angeles, starting a business, becoming a successful entrepreneur, a treasured mentor and a great contributor to the American society.

In this documentary, people from very diverse backgrounds crossed and shared their lives.

Rick Racliff, the dean of California State University, Northridge, who helped Ao Ge was featured. Rick was one of the first  African Americans to obtain a doctorate degree from a public university. Rick later on became the dean of the School of Engineering at California State University, Northridge, where the protagonist studied. Rick extended his generous help to Ao Ge, serving as his mentor and helped Ao Gen to adapt to the education system in the U.S. and to become a Christian. Their relationship has grown from student and teacher to become as close as father and son. They took care of each other and spent each Thanksgiving together for 30 years.  Rick Racliff was 93 years old at the time of filming and has passed away one year later. His clear memory, warm smile, in-depth knowledge and kind words were captured candidly in the film.

Ao Ge also shared his personal contributions to the 1984 Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, his personal friendship with Lang Ping who used to serve as Head Coach of Women’s National Team for both the U.S. and China. Ao Ge concluded this documentary by wishing to continue to serve as a volunteer to the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games to be held again in Los Angeles, his beloved city.

The event, initiated by 180 Degrees Brandcom, a leading media and marketing agency in Malaysia, witnessed a diverse array of participants from countries across South-East Asia, the United States and Canada. Distinguished speakers and panelists engaged in dialogues on a wide range of topics, from media trends and digital marketing strategies to cultural exchanges and global collaboration after Covid-Pandemic.
