NASHVILLE/LOS ANGELES — Nov. 8, 2021 — For Immediate Release: The LGBTQ+ holiday film, Christmas at the Ranch, streaming Dec. 1 on TelloFilms.com from A Baker Production and Tello Films, the first network dedicated to telling stories featuring and about lesbian/queer women.

The romantic comedy stars Lindsay Wagner (Grey’s Anatomy; SyFy’s Warehouse 13; The Bionic Woman, The Six Million Dollar Man, Marcus Welby, M.D.), Amanda Righetti (Captain America: The First Avenger, Friday the 13th, The Mentalist), Archie Kao (Chicago P.D.; CSI: Crime Scene Investigations and as the Blue Galaxy Ranger on FOX-TV’s Power Rangers) and Laur Allen (The Young and the Restless).

Also slated for Dec. 1 is the release of the film’s soulful, holiday-inspired soundtrack, featuring all original music, including songs by Dia Frampton, runner up in the inaugural season of The Voice and lead singer of the band Meg & Dia, and Dominique Provost-Chalkley (Wynonna Earp, Avengers: Age of Ultron Season of Love). Available on iTunes and CDbaby.

The film is the follow up to the critically acclaimed 2020 release of I Hate New Year’s, starring Dia Frampton, Ashley Argota and Candis Cayne, from veteran writer/producer/director Christin Baker, who launched the successful LGBTQ+, SVOD platform, Tello Films, in 2009—the first network dedicated to telling stories featuring and about lesbian/queer women.  Baker is known for critically acclaimed, queer feature films (Season of Love) and series (Emmy-nominated Secs and EXECS and Riley Parra) with powerful, original soundtracks.

In Christmas at the Ranch …

Raised by her grandmother, Meemaw (Lindsay Wagner), after the death of her parents, urban power broker Haley (Laur Allen) hasn’t been back to her family’s Nashville ranch in years, but is summoned by her brother, Charles (Archie Kao), in a last-ditch effort to save their beloved land from the bank.

When she reluctantly arrives just prior to Christmas, her introduction to ranch hand, Kate (Amada Righetti) goes terribly awry. But now they must put their differences aside and band together to save the homestead … and perhaps discover that finding love isn’t always where (or who) you expect.
