Irvine Senior Citizens Council Seeks Applicants for Two Positions

Serve the Irvine senior community; applications due September 24.

 IRVINE-The City of Irvine is accepting applications for two member-at-large positions on the Irvine Senior Citizens Council. The Senior Citizens Council acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters related to aging adults, including the planning of facilities, transportation, services, and programs, as well as the City’s Senior Services Strategic Plan. The Senior Citizens Council consists of seven members; five are appointed by the City Council, while two member-at-large positions are selected through a public recruitment process.

Applicants must reside in the City of Irvine, be 55 years of age at the time of appointment, and be willing to commit to a two-year term of active service beginning November 2021. Current and past Senior Citizens Council members are eligible to apply. Senior Citizens Council meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Lakeview Senior Center.

Applications are available starting Wednesday, September 1, at the Lakeview and Rancho Senior Centers, Trabuco Center, Irvine Civic Center, and online at irvineseniors.org. Completed applications must be received by 4 p.m. Friday, September 24. Applications may be mailed or hand-delivered to any of the following locations:
