Family Child Care Coordinator

Based in East Los Angeles
The International Institute of Los Angeles, a nonprofit based in East Los Angeles which has been serving immigrants and low income children and families since 1914, is seeking a Family Child Care Coordinator to work with Chinese speaking home child care providers.
This full-time position is responsible for ensuring that the child care providers are in compliance with regulations and providing technical support to the providers, including workshops in early childhood education, as well as assisting with placement of eligible children in the Family Child Care providers’ homes.
This is a marvelous opportunity for a Cantonese/Mandarin speaking person who is interested in pursuing a career in early childhood education. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and strong interpersonal skills.
While a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or related field is preferred, we will also consider applicants with an Associate degree and two years of experience working with State funded programs.
