SACRAMENTO, CA — Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) today announced three of his bills advanced from their first policy committees in the State Assembly. These three bills include the following and join the Senator’s eight bills moving throughout the legislature:

I’m proud of our first legislative bill package and will continue to do all I can to serve the people of Senate District 37.”

SB 308, which modernizes the unclaimed property process;

SB 374, which adds reproductive coercion to the definition of domestic violence; and

SB 391, which allows common interest developments (like HOAs) to meet virtually.
Last week, five of Min’s bills passed the Senate floor before the house of origin deadline. The following are awaiting committee referral in the Assembly:

SB 264, which bans gun shows on state-owned property;

SB 476, which eliminates PACE consumer abuses;

SB 500, which mandates light-duty autonomous vehicles to be zero-emission;

SB 654, which allows children to speak at their own custody hearings; and
-
SB 719, which supports the Tustin Legacy Project.
Dave Min represents California State Senate District 37, which is located in Orange County and includes the communities of Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Foothill Ranch, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Newport Beach, Orange, Tustin, and Villa Park.
Dave was a University of California Irvine law professor and a former economic policy staffer in the United States Senate and for the Center for American Progress. He began his legal career at the Securities and Exchange Commission to protect the retirement security of seniors, turning down high paying jobs to serve the public interest. Dave and his wife Jane live and work in Irvine, where they are raising their three young children.
