The SERVES program’s goal is to increase the success of student veterans in completing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) degrees and transferring to a four-year university. SERVES students follow a cohort model supported by a number of support services, as well as stipends and UCLA summer research opportunities. This specially funded grant program is only available to student veterans and service members.
Students who enroll into SERVES will be offered a 2-week intensive math workshop starting August 5th to prepare them to take Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus for Fall 2019. The Fall Trig/Pre-Calculus sequence is designed to prepare students for Calculus I in just one semester. All workshop participants will receive a $600 stipend!
