Human Trafficking/ Prostitution Sweep of the “Holt Corridor”

October 11-12, 2018, Pomona, CA – the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force conducted direct enforcement focused on the area known as the “Holt Corridor.” The operation was conducted in response to numerous complaints received from residents and local business owners. This operation utilized plainclothes and uniformed officers.

The enforcement effort resulted in (11) Suspects charged for 653.22(a) PC Loitering with Intent to Commit Prostitution.  Two of the individuals arrested was also charged with a violation of 653.23 PC – Supervise, Direct or aide Prostitution related crimes. One Subject was arrested for a Parole Violation, who was on active parole for “Pimping.”

The operation was a success and similar operations are scheduled to take place in the not too distant future.  The Pomona Police Department takes a zero tolerance approach to human trafficking and sexual exploitation. It is our sincere desire to eradicate this type of activity and to provide a quality of life that is justly deserved for our vibrant community.
