Moore was received in a welcome and appreciation luncheon which was also attended by local elected officials and consular officials from China, Japan, Thailand and other Asian countries.

“It is such a blessing for me to come to Chinatown today,” said Moore.  “This is a community that works with law enforcement as an obligation and responsibility.”

Moore spoke highly of the closed-circuit television system and other safety strategies deployed in public places in Chinatown, and the relationship between LAPD and security officers in this area.

“We want to ensure that you feel we are partner with you,” Moore added.  “And you feel that you are partner with us in networking and communicating with you concerns we have relative to your community safety.”
