Chinese Community Leaders Commend the CPC for Its Successful National Congress

Los Angeles, CA—“The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will have a critical and far-reaching impact on not only China but the world as a whole, including the Sino-U.S. relations,” said Sun Lushan, the Acting Consul General of China in Los Angeles, in a symposium widely attended by leaders from local Chinese community, business and academia.

Sun said, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s report to the Congress, which lays out a grand blueprint for China’s endeavor to build socialism with Chinese characteristics in new era, serves as a political platform and action plan for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Participants of the symposium commend China for its spectacular economic achievements and social progress.  China’s status and influence on the world arena have been elevated to a new level with a bigger say on international affairs, and a much stronger invoice in setting up the international agenda and rules.

China U.S. relationship is the most important bilateral relationship in the world.  President Xi and President Trump have met twice this year, and will have another summit in Beijing next month.  “The Sino-U.S. relations face new development opportunities,” Sun Said. The upcoming state visit of President Trump is expected to further drive this relationship, and thus benefit both nations and the world.

State and local collaborations are vital to China U.S. relations.  Sun expects local Chinese community and business leaders to play more active roles in promoting people-to-people exchanges between China and the United States.

Deputy Consul General Zhuang Zhizhe and Dai Shuangming also attended today’s symposium.
