The forum held in the wake of the successful Belt and Road Summit Forum on International Cooperation in May in Beijing catches the attention of policymakers, business professional and the academic community.  According to Jim MacLellan, Director of Trade Development, and Jennifer Liu, CEO of KJC, more than 300 trade representatives, business leaders and academics from China, the United States and Latin America will participate in the upcoming forum.

This forum will “foster friendship, promote business, investment, trade and cultural exchanges between China and the continental Americas”, said Mr. Enrique Arthuro de Obarrio, former ambassador of Panama to the Organization of American States, and Chairman of Nihao LatAm Group.  “Panama is being seen as the logical and natural platform for China to carry out the One Belt One Road initiative to the rest of the inter-American region, including of course the Caribbean.
