Beverly Hills Hosts Sixth Annual Chinese New Year Celebration

Beverly Hills–Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau (BHCVB), in partnership with China International Culture Association (CICA) and Beijing Association for Cultural Exchanges (BACE), with the support of the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, hosted its sixth annual Chinese New Year celebration on January 21.

John Mirisch, Mayor of Beverly Hills, Julian Gold, Councilmember of Beverly Hills, and Julie Wagner, Chief Executive Office of BHCVB extended warm welcome to Chinese artists, and spoke highly of the cultural exchanges between Beverly Hills and Beijing, the Capital of China.

The anticipated event, which featured the “Charming Beijing” variety show with live acrobatic, Chinese folk music, dances, Peking opera and more, drew over 1600 people to the historical Saban Theatre.

The audience was deeply impressed by the outstanding performances of world-class artists from China National Acrobatic Troupe, Beijing Chinese Orchestra, Beijing Dance, Drama and Opera House, and Beijing Wind and Thunder Peking Opera Troupe.
