“The NFIB has been a strong, unwavering voice for small business, and I am proud to receive their endorsement,” said Chen. “Small businesses are the backbone of California’s economy, and big government is only getting in their way of achieving success. In the Assembly, I will work to defend free enterprise and advocate pro-growth policies.”
NFIB/CA represents 22,000 dues-paying small business members in California comprising a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the organization’s political action committee, and is based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, labor, and regulatory issues.
Phillip Chen is a Republican, small business owner, and educator. The 55th Assembly District is split between Orange, San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties.
Chen has already received the endorsement of the California Small Business Association.
