Grogu Lands, Bluey Takes Over and $50 Tickets Spark Summer Rush: Disneyland Unveils Massive 2026 Family Lineup
ANAHEIM- Disneyland Resort is going all in for summer 2026 — and this time, the kids are officially in charge.

As the iconic Southern California destination enters the final stretch of its historic 70th Anniversary Celebration, Disneyland announced an ambitious summer lineup packed with new Star Wars experiences, live Bluey entertainment, limited-time festivals and aggressive family discounts, including a $50 children’s Park Hopper ticket offer that could become one of the biggest draws of the season.
The campaign arrives under a simple message: “Kids Rule Summer.”
But behind the playful slogan is a major push to capture families heading into one of the most competitive vacation seasons in recent years.

Grogu Arrives as Disneyland Expands the Star Wars Universe
Beginning May 22, 2026, Disneyland Park’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will launch a brand-new mission inside Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, timed with the upcoming Lucasfilm movie “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.”
For the first time, riders will have greater control over their destination choices, sending crews toward locations including:
- Bespin’s Cloud City
- The wreckage of the second Death Star near Endor
- The galactic capital planet Coruscant
Guests assigned to the engineer role will also be able to communicate directly with Grogu, adding a new interactive layer to the attraction.
The expansion goes beyond the ride itself.
Nighttime projections near the Millennium Falcon will feature “The Curious Child,” showcasing Grogu recalling memories from adventures with the Mandalorian, while the beloved BDX droids return to Black Spire Outpost with updated appearances and interactions.
Disney is also widening the timeline inside Galaxy’s Edge by introducing iconic characters including:
- Darth Vader
- Leia Organa
- Han Solo
- Luke Skywalker
The additions aim to connect multiple eras of the Star Wars saga into a single immersive experience.

Bluey Becomes Disneyland’s New Family Magnet
While Star Wars may dominate longtime Disney fans, one blue puppy is quickly becoming the summer’s biggest attraction.
Disney recently debuted “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” at Fantasyland Theatre, transforming the venue into a colorful “Fun Fair at Bluey’s School.”
Bluey and her sister Bingo appear live throughout the day alongside performers and musicians, bringing scenes from the hit animated series into real life.
Families can join:
- Interactive games
- Storytelling activities
- Dance-alongs
- Live performances inspired by favorite episodes
The experience extends beyond the stage.
Bluey-themed foods, merchandise and a children’s meal combo priced at $5.99 are also rolling out, highlighting Disney’s growing focus on young families.

Disneyland Drops $50 Ticket Deal for Kids
Perhaps the biggest headline for parents is the price.
For visits between May 22 and Sept. 7, 2026, children ages 3 to 9 can purchase a one-day Park Hopper ticket for $50, allowing access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
The resort is also offering:
- Up to 15% savings on select hotel stays from Sunday through Thursday nights
- Summer hotel promotions running through early September
- Continued military appreciation ticket programs
- Availability of the new Explore Key annual pass option for select summer dates
The move is widely seen as Disney’s effort to keep family vacations accessible while encouraging longer stays during the peak travel season.

Summer Entertainment Expands Across the Resort
Disney is also filling nearly every corner of the resort with seasonal programming.
New and returning experiences include:
“Disney Friends Dance Party” in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure beginning May 22.
“Stitch’s Intergalactic Beach Party Blast” returning to Tomorrowland Terrace.
The limited-time comeback of “Soarin’ Across America,” reopening July 2.
Downtown Disney will also host the second annual Disney On the Yard Presents Yardfest, celebrating the traditions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), launching June 19 as part of “Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes.”
The festival features music, food, cultural experiences and live performances honoring Black heritage.

Final Countdown for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration
Summer 2026 also marks the final chapter of Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, which concludes on Aug. 9, 2026.
Special foods, themed merchandise, entertainment offerings and anniversary experiences remain available through the event’s closing weeks.
For Disney history fans, another major addition is coming later in the summer.
The reimagined “A Walk in Walt’s Footsteps” guided tour returns Aug. 14, giving guests rare access to Walt Disney’s private apartment above the Fire House on Main Street, U.S.A.
The tour will include storytelling about Walt Disney’s legacy, attraction experiences and expanded access never previously offered in this format.
With Grogu stepping into Galaxy’s Edge, Bluey drawing young audiences, and deep ticket discounts aimed at families, Disneyland is making one thing clear:
Summer 2026 is not just another vacation season — it is a full-scale family takeover at The Happiest Place on Earth.
