COSTA MESA, CA, April 15, 2026 — Fresh off being named Designer of the Year by
Fashion Trust U.S., Tory Burch stepped into her South Coast Plaza boutique for a rare personal appearance just days before Mother’s Day.
The visit, anchored by a candid moderated conversation with stylist and media personality Joe Zee alongside South Coast Plaza’s personal stylists, was capped by a cocktail reception in partnership with C Magazine and Childhelp OC. The events gave Burch’s clients an intimate opportunity to connect with the founder and creative director behind one of fashion’s most beloved names.

Burch, who launched her label in 2004, returned to South Coast Plaza for the first
time in a decade — and the evening was about far more than fashion. For Burch, the visit was personal. Beyond the conversation and cocktails, the visit shone a spotlight on Childhelp OC, an organization dedicated to abused and at-risk children, reflecting Burch’s long-standing belief that a brand’s platform carries real responsibility.

The Tory Burch Foundation empowers women entrepreneurs across the U.S. through access to capital, education and community— and has recently pledged to support women entrepreneurs toward generating $1 billion in economic impact by 2030. And as Mother’s Day approaches, that throughline of supporting women felt especially resonant.
“One thing about our company that I am proud of is that we can shine a light on very important people and issues,” Burch said. “If we’re able to do that and be a vehicle for positive change, that’s something that we will never stop doing.”
