Building on Momentum and Demonstrating Strong Organization, Rep. Kim Lays Down Multi-Million Dollar Ad Reservation
Anaheim, California – Congresswoman Young Kim’s campaign today announced a massive $3.25 million media buy in her bid for re-election in California’s 40th Congressional District. The reservation is scheduled to begin in early April 2026, with more than $2.75 million committed to broadcast and cable and an additional $500,000 dedicated to streaming platforms.
This major investment represents just the opening wave of the Kim for Congress campaign’s paid media strategy heading into the June 2026 primary election.
“This early media buy underscores Young Kim’s commitment to the America First agenda, and voters across the 40th District deserve a clear message about what’s at stake,” said Sam Oh, Kim’s general consultant. “Voters will hear directly about Young Kim’s conservative record and how she will continue to be a fighter who will work hand-in-hand with President Trump to restore public safety, secure our border, and rebuild an economy that works for American families.”
Rep. Kim enters the race with a strong fundraising operation and a deep base of support, positioning her as a formidable candidate on day one:
- Nearly $5 million cash-on-hand, including over $4 million available in primary dollars
- More than 42,500 unique donors this cycle that will grow and fuel a comprehensive voter contact program
- Currently represents nearly 35% of total registered voters and more than 42% of high-propensity Republican voters in the district
Congresswoman Young Kim currently represents California’s 40th Congressional District that encompasses portions of Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Kim currently represents over 175,000 registered voters and over 42% of high-propensity Republican voters in the new 40th district. She serves on the House Financial Services Committee, House Foreign Affairs Committee, and House China Select Committee.
