Art Without Borders, Unity in Diversity — The 2nd Highlight International Art Festival Shines in Irvine

【Irvine, CA】On October 19, 2025, the 2nd Highlight International Art Festival was grandly held at the Lakeview Senior Center in Irvine. Organized by the U.S. Highlight International Art Center Foundation (USHIAC) and co-hosted with the Premier Partners Alliance, the festival received strong support from eight other local community organizations, including the American Southern California Economic and Culture Association and the Orange County Chinese Community Service Center.

The 2nd Highlight International Art Festival Shines in Irvine

Under the theme “A Timeless Journey Through Art,” the festival showcased the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures through intangible cultural heritage displays, calligraphy, painting, music, dance, and martial arts. Around 120 performers took the stage, presenting a diverse program including Chinese traditional face-changing, Peking opera, classical dance, Latin dance, K-pop, and English and Chinese songs, delivering a cross-cultural audio-visual feast for the audience.

Irvine City Councilmember Melinda Liu attended the event, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and community inclusivity.

Congressman Dave Min sent congratulatory certificates to the organizers and seven outstanding Youth Leaders, recognizing their efforts in promoting multicultural understanding and artistic excellence.

The seven honored Youth Leaders are: Brian Yan, Yumika Nishimura, Angela Van Velden, Ruiwen Yu, William Qu, Yutong Zhang, and Suri Li.

Lily Li, Co-founder of the Highlight International Art Center, said the festival aims to “bring art closer to the community, provide young artists from diverse countries and backgrounds a platform to showcase their talents, and promote dialogue and collaboration between Eastern and Western art traditions.”

Huang Dongping, President of the American Southern California Economic and Culture Association, expressed pride in showcasing the beauty of Chinese culture and promoting the integration of art into community life.

The festival also featured interactive booths with cultural heritage experiences, educational consultations, and community services, allowing residents to engage directly and experience how art enriches everyday life.

With enthusiastic participation from co-organizers, sponsors, and community partners, the festival created a vibrant, inclusive, and inspiring celebration of cultural diversity and artistic unity.

USHIAC is an officially registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young artists from diverse nations and backgrounds by providing a global stage to showcase their talents. The Foundation champions art as a force for healing, connection, and inclusion—bridging youth, seniors, and families through multicultural artistic expression. Supported by a network of more than 200 youth volunteers, USHIAC also promotes arts education for children with special needs, helping them discover and nurture their creative potential while fostering cross-cultural understanding between East and West.
