Stolen vehicle later found abandoned near downtown Los Angeles
ARCADIA, Calif. —Arcadia Police are investigating a violent home invasion robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon, leaving two residents tied up and injured before the suspects fled with jewelry and a vehicle.
According to the Arcadia Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 1100 block of West Foothill Boulevard at around 12:54 p.m. after receiving a report of an armed home invasion.
Investigators said four suspects forced their way into the house through the front door. At least one suspect was armed with a gun and another with a knife. Once inside, the group tied up the victims before ransacking the home and stealing jewelry and the victims’ car. The suspects then fled the scene heading eastbound.
After the suspects left, both victims managed to free themselves. One of them exited the home to seek help from a nearby bystander. Police said both victims suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Detectives are actively investigating the incident and have processed the scene for evidence. The stolen vehicle was later found unoccupied in the 1400 block of West Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The suspects were described as three Hispanic men and one Asian man, all dressed in black clothing. One of the suspects was also reported to be wearing a reflective safety vest.
