Welcoming Reception Honors LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell at Korean Consul General’s Residence

Los Angeles, August 26, 2025 — A welcoming reception was held yesterday evening at the Korean Consul General’s Residence in honor of Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell. The gathering brought together civic leaders, law enforcement officials, and community members to reaffirm a shared commitment to public safety as the cornerstone of thriving neighborhoods.

The event was marked by the presence of distinguished leaders, including Los Angeles City Councilmember Katy Yaroslavsky, Councilmember Heather Hutt Park, and Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna, CA assembly member Paul Seo, chief of the LA District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation Tony Lee.  Their attendance underscored a united vision for collaboration between community stakeholders and law enforcement.
