OC Vice Chair Katrina Foley Celebrates Grand Opening of Hoag Health Center in San Clemente
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley joined the San Clemente Chamber and 11-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater in unveiling the Hoag Health Center in San Clemente, marking a significant step toward restoring comprehensive health care access in South County.
“Our new Hoag Health Center is opening at the perfect time as our local athletes prepare to compete in the 2028 Olympics at Trestles Beach. The new facility fills a long-standing gap in health care access, and adds specialized sports medicine services for South County families,” said Supervisor Katrina Foley. “Since the closure of the San Clemente hospital in 2016, residents traveled up to 30 minutes to access critical medical support. The brand-new facility expands our health services and brings essential care back to every corner of Orange County.”
Following the closure of MemorialCare’s Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in May 2016, South Orange County families experienced a critical gap in emergency medical services. This 20,000-square-foot center offers a wide range of clinical services, including:

· Urgent care (available 7 days a week)
· Family practice & women’s health specialties
· Sports medicine & orthopedics
· Full diagnostic imaging & specialties
