Music, Movies & More: Summer in the City Returns to Irvine Parks

IRVINE- The City of Irvine’s Summer in the City series returns with free, family-friendly outdoor events held June through August at Irvine parks.

Bring a blanket or low-back chair and enjoy Movies on the Lawn, Summer Concerts, and Symphony in the Cities. Events are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, and do not require tickets or registration. Food trucks will be available.

Movies on the Lawn will take place at Hicks Canyon Community Park, 3864 Viewpark Avenue. Food trucks will open at 6 p.m., and movies will begin after sunset.

  • Friday, July 18Mufasa: The Lion King (PG)
  • Friday, July 25Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (PG)
  • Friday, August 8 Inside Out 2 (PG)

Summer Concerts will take place at Mike Ward Community Park – Woodbridge, 20 Lake Road. Performances will begin at 5:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, August 2Your Mom – ’90s and More
  • Saturday, August 9 DW3 – R&B, Soul, Funk

Symphony in the Cities will be held Sunday, August 3, at Mike Ward Community Park – Woodbridge, with family activities beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the concert starting at 7 p.m.
