Arrests Made in Santa Ana High School Homicide Investigation

Santa Ana- Santa Ana Police have arrested two Santa Ana High School students for stabbing three, resulting in one fatality.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Santa Ana Police Communications received a call from Santa Ana School Police regarding a stabbing that occurred during a fight in front of Santa Ana High School. Santa Ana Police officers, along with Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), responded to the scene and located three male students, ages 14, 15, and 16, suffering from stab wounds. OCFA transported the victims to a local hospital, where the 14-year-old succumbed to his injuries. The other two victims were listed in stable condition.

Throughout the night, Santa Ana Police officers and Homicide Detectives continued their investigation and identified two suspects. Ultimately, the suspects, male students ages 15 and 17, turned themselves in at the Santa Ana Police Department. Based on the ongoing investigation, both were arrested and subsequently transported to Juvenile Hall, where they were booked for Penal Code § 187(a) – Murder and PC 664/187(a) – Attempted Murder.
