Police discover another brothel at Irvine home; 2 arrested

IRVINE — A man and a woman were arrested for allegedly operating a brothel in Irvine.

On February 22, a search warrant was served at a suspected brothel by Irvine police.

“There were two arrests on April 22, 2025 on Skinner Street. Irvine Police arrested a man and a woman,” said Sgt. Karie Davies of the Irvine Police Department.

Forty-six-year-old Wujie Huang was arrested on suspicion of pimping. Seventy-one-year-old Yuying Ma was arrested on suspicion of pimping and pandering.

“We received a tip from the community about this residence. Many cars were coming and going from the location, and neighbors became concerned,” said Davies.

“People can help by paying attention to any suspicious activity and reporting it to Irvine PD,” Davies added.

This is the third Chinese-operated brothel discovered by the Irvine Police Department in the past six months. Last October, Irvine police raided a brothel in a private house in the Cypress Village community and arrested two suspects: 51-year-old Irvine resident Qiyin Jiaqiyin and 36-year-old Whittier resident Xiaoming Ding. They faced charges of pimping.

Another case occurred in February of this year. Irvine police issued a search warrant for a private house near Yale Avenue and Walnut Avenue in Irvine, and arrested 44-year-old Monterey Park resident Fusong Lun for pimping, pandering, and possession of a controlled substance. Four adult female victims were offered resources and later released from the scene.
