The Nancy Jamison Fund for Social Justice Awards $50,000 to Social Justice and Racial Equity Leaders in San Diego County
SAN DIEGO, CA— The Nancy Jamison Fund for Social Justice (NJFSJ) is proud to announce it will award $50,000 in unrestricted funding to local leaders advancing racial equity and social justice in San Diego County. These grants aim to highlight and support community-based leaders who are dedicated to making the region a more inclusive and equitable place for all.
Inspired by the enduring spirit of its namesake, Nancy Jamison, the Fund carries forward her legacy of leadership and commitment to supporting the individuals behind social change.
“We are thrilled to continue Nancy’s work through the Fund, which provides resources directly to individuals making an impact on the ground,” said Michele Silverthorn, program manager of the NJFSJ. “This initiative reflects Nancy’s passion for equity and for supporting the leaders behind the hard work of social change, and we are honored to carry her vision forward through the Fund.”
The Fund is currently accepting nominations for individuals (whether they work with an organization or on their own) making significant contributions to racial equity and social justice throughout San Diego County. Nominees will be considered for an unrestricted grant of $50,000. The deadline for nominations is December 31, 2024, with grant awards to be announced in April 2025.
