Comedy Night in La Puente Kicks Off

On August 17, the La Puente City held the first Family Comedy Night at La Puente Park. This grand community event attracted a large number of local residents to participate. Various food and art stalls were lined up, and police officers were on site to maintain order. La Puente Mayor Gabriel Quinones and La Puente City Council David Argudo attended the event. General mortgage capital corporation was invited to attend as a golden sponsor of the event.
City Council David Argudo, the organizer of the event, said: “We are very honored to hold the public comedy show in the city’s park for the first time. This event not only has wonderful comedy shows, but also has a rich variety of food stalls and toy stalls. We would also like to thank the two golden sponsors for their strong support, especially GMCC, who have brought special preferential projects to eligible minority community residents to help them buy houses.”
He also pointed out that all the donations made that night will be used to support the city’s children’s charity projects.
James Jin, the president of GMCC said, “It’s an honor to be here on behalf of the general mortgage capital corporation. We are the direct residential mortgage lender. Today we are very honored to particularly offer a special community lending program. It’s a high-quality loan project to the Hispanic community and families in need, and provided $10,000 in housing subsidies to those who met the requirements.”
Ten talented comedians took turns to perform on stage that night, bringing endless laughter and joy to the audience. The special guest of the event was professional comedian Jeff Garcia, whose humorous style is deeply loved by the audience. What’s more special is that Jeff Garcia’s son, Jojo Garcia, also performed on stage, adding more highlights to the event.
The event that day not only brought a variety of comedy performances to the audience, but also prepared various food stalls and a variety of vendor stalls for everyone, fully demonstrating the vitality and cohesion of the community.
