Edward Yen Sworn In as Executive Officer of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors swore in Edward Yen this week to his role as Executive Officer. In this role, Mr. Yen will oversee the administration of the Board of Supervisors, its budget of $340 million, and nearly 500 budgeted positions.

Mr. Yen was lauded for his nearly two decades of public service, including positions with the Los Angeles County Office of County Counsel and the Office of the Assessor. Prior to his career with Los Angeles County, Mr. Yen was an attorney in private practice.

“I stand before you not just an employee of the Los Angeles County Executive Office,” he said. “But as a proud member of a family that shapes the very fabric of our vibrant community. I look forward to serving and guiding this department to becoming the ultimate service provider.”

The ceremony was presided by Dr. Gay Yuen, commissioner for the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission, and each Board supervisor provided remarks on Mr. Yen’s years of service and vision for the future.
