(Irvine, July 11) – Anthony Kuo has declared his candidacy for California State Senate in District 37. With California in crisis, Anthony is focused on getting inflation under control, protecting our neighborhoods from crime and homelessness, and improving our schools by putting parents and students first. Anthony, who served as the Vice Mayor of Irvine, is dedicated to serving his community, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to delivering results for Orange County.

Announcing his run, Anthony stated, “California’s future is at stake. Costs for families have skyrocketed. Crime and homelessness are out of control. And our future generations are falling behind because of a system that has let them down. When 40% of Californians say they are thinking of moving out of state, that is a failure of our state government.”
“I’m running because Orange County is my home, and we are at risk of losing what has made living here so great. We need to make it easier for Californians to live and work here, not harder. In Sacramento, I will fight to get inflation under control, to get more cops on the street and the homeless into health facilities to get the care they need. And I will work to put more dollars into classrooms so that our students can get back on track.”
Anthony is honored to be endorsed by Orange County elected leaders across the region, including:
- Former State Senate Senator Ling-Ling Chang
- Fullerton City Councilman Nick Dunlap
- Irvine City Councilman Mike Carroll
- Newport Beach City Councilman Erik Weigand
- Orange City Councilwoman Kathy Tavoularis
- Rancho Santa Margarita City Councilman Tony Beall
- Yorba Linda City Council Janice Lim
- Laguna Niguel Mayor Kelly Jennings
