Los Angeles — The Roy Rogers Double R Bar Ranch was established by Mr. Roy Rogers to raise Palomino horses. It is located on Route 66 in Oro Grande, California. Due to the pandemic, the ranch was unable to operate normally and was purchased by Mr. Jack Hai of Byland Fund LLC. Mr. Jack Hai, the fund’s owner, considered preserving the century-old American cowboy culture on the ranch to be a highly valuable endeavor.

Over the past three years, Mr. Hai had invested significant funds and effort through his company. He also established the viral Starry Sky Hotel, which has become a romantic and nature-filled destination. The ranch is home to many animals, including horses, longhorns, llamas, peacocks, and sheeps, which provides a wonderful weekend experience and a miniature petting zoo for children. The ranch has always been open to the public free of charge, attracting many visitors from Southern California and beyond.

Former owner James Heffel, who had been reluctant to move out, brought his son Jimmy Heffel over, who used a pickup truck to crash through the fences, causing significant damage to many buildings and vehicles on the ranch, including three glass dome structures.

As they stepped out of the farm’s gate, James Heffel’s wife once again provocatively and insultingly directed offensive language and made derogatory gestures towards the current owners and Asian Americans at large. Asian Americans should not stay silent in face of this kind of race-based hatred .
