LOS ANGELES- Cathay Bank successfully hosted its 46th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on May 2rd, 2023 at the Industry Hills Golf Club, where almost 300 guests joined together and had a day of fun, camaraderie, and philanthropy.
The Cathay Bank Annual Charity Golf Tournament has been its signature fundraiser since 1977, generating millions for local nonprofits. This year’s fundraising result reflected the bank’s longstanding commitment to serving and supporting the community, with donations totaling $220,000.
“The purpose of this tournament goes beyond the game of golf. lt is about coming together as a community to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most,” said Chang M. Liu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cathay Bank, “We are deeply grateful for the incredible support of our sponsors, golf players, dinner guests, and team members who made this event a tremendous success.
Funds raised from this tournament will benefit the Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center, the Cathay Bank Foundation, Friends of the Chinatown Library, Herald Family Center Counseling Ministry, International Institute of Los Angeles, Irvine Chinese School, No Limits for deaf children and families, Pacific Clinics, and the Taiwanese American Heritage Week.
