Young Dancing Artists from Tang Arts & Performance Studio Shine at Rancho Cucamonga Lunar New Year Festival

Rancho Cucamonga, CA—A group of young dancing artists from Tang Arts & Performance Studio presented splendid performances at the First Rancho Cucamonga Lunar New Year Festival, which ran from January 21 to 22.

“It is our honor to participate in Chinese New Year celebrations,” said Lucy Xie, the founder and arts director of Tang Arts & Performance Studio.  “Over 100 performers are selected to attend the festival.  We feel proud to demonstrate the Chinese dancing arts and promote the Chinese culture.”

The two-day event marked the first time for the City of Cucamonga to host a large scale Lunar New Year celebrations, which drew an audience of more than 50,000.

“The Chinese classic dances combine beauty and strength.  I hope our kids can feel the charm of the Chinese culture,” said Zoe Chow, whose child is a student of Tang Arts & Performance Studio.

“I want to thank Lucy for providing our kids with an opportunity to study the Chinese dancing arts,” said another parent Wang Lirong.  “The Chinese dances can fully demonstrate the reserved and strong personality of oriental kids.  My two kids have been learning from Lucy for over six years, and attended various competition and show.  As the Year of the Rabbit begins, I hope they will follow the steps of their teacher to promote the Chinese dancing arts.”

Tang Arts & Performance Studio was founded in 2016 in Los Angeles by Lucy Xie, a dancing artist who graduated from well-known Beijing Dance Academy.  Its purpose is to promote dancing arts and train performing arts.  The studio has enrolled a couple hundreds of students who are from different backgrounds in Southern California.

“I have been learning from Lucy for four years.  And I really enjoy it,” said Yang Yan.  “At the studio, I not only learn how to dance, but study the Chinese culture as well.”

Young dancing artists from Tang Arts & Performance Studio presented six dances at the festival, including Dun Huang Bell Dance, Tiny Jasmine Flower, Hu Xuan Gu Dao, Merry Tambourine, Lucky Bunnies, Charming Chinese Dance.
