LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles City Council President Pro Tempore Mitch O’Farrell, the chair of the Energy, Climate Change, Environmental Justice, and River Committee, today celebrated Earth Day 2022 by participating in an eight-mile bike ride with advocates for immigration, tenants, social justice, and the environment.

“Earth Day is as much about equity and environmental justice as it is about protecting our natural environment,” said Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, Chair of the City Council’s Energy, Climate Change, Environmental Justice and LA River Committee. “Celebrating this day with a bike ride along the Los Angeles River in partnership with social and environmental justice advocates sends a clear message that we must work collectively to restore our green spaces for all Angelenos.”
